5 star food in a 2 star building.

All I can say is WOW! On Mothers Day we ordered RIGHT when they opened (4pm) and we waited until 6pm!!! Then called to find out they havnt even started our order... the delivery boy who answered the phone said it would MAYBE be 45 minutes. We Canceled! They didn't care... will NEVER be ordering from this place again. VERY VERY disappointed. I'll be going ANYWHERE else from now on

The Beijing Grand restaurant has good food at good prices. In my opinion, this is the best Chinese restaurant in Port Alberni, for price and quality.

The dinner was amazing!!! Great variety of food to choose from. Very authentic cuisine. We went as a group of about 24 people. The service was excellent + the food just kept coming, + coming. Since we were a large group, we had the whole upstairs. There is no elevator so, lots of stairs to climb. Everything was cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend this place for a nice evening out! 😊💯🤗💯

One of the better chinese places in town.

We love this place. When our son comes home, we always have a Beijing Grand feast, because it's better than any Chinese food he can find in the big city. Nice folks, good food, happy tummies. Actually, now that I've written this review, I'm going to call for a pickup for the way home!Edit: I don't think they have a regular delivery guy, so always go pick it up yourself!

Absolute best chinese food in town.Everything on the menu is fresh and the flavour is spot on .i get my chinese from here only. Its kinda pricy but the food is soooo worth it. And so is the long wait for delivery on busy nights . (Holidays) .

Do yourself a favor and stear clear of this restaurant. It is horrible.I would not, in all good conscience, even give this place one star but I can't post this review unless I do.My sister and I were there recently while visiting Port Alberni. The waitress/owner was preoccupied with her cell phone to the extent that she served the only other customer in the place while talking on it.My food (szechuan beef) was inedible. When I complained, waitress/owner claimed it was my fault for ordering it. Although she said she subtracted that meal from the bill, we discovered later that she hadn't. We had to pursue the issue through our credit card company. Amazing the Beijing Grand stays in business

Over priced for your run of the mill Canadian style chinese food. Will not return.

Food was excellent, service was superb. Also had a view of the water where we sat. Strongly recommend for anyone who likes Chinese cuisines.

It's what you'd expect from looking at the outside; a little run-down, but a decent-to-ok place.It was a total of 10 of us. We got a big oval table on the first floor; a little tight in the seating arrangements. Arrived mid-afternoon, so it wasn't that busy at all. The food was decent; the total price was reasonable. We had such a good time conversating and all, I forgot to take pictures! Or really examine the food. The waitress spoke about 85% english, but she got a "A" for effort, especially when my eccentric older mother-in-law was trying to order a vegetarian meal.Overall, ok for a decent sit-down or some kind of gathering.

Found it overly salty and oily to the point we just dumped our take out in the trash. Lil disappointed as Alot of people had said this was a great place.

I don't know why people rated it with good star. Food tastes so so and salty, and the restaurant is actually way hotter than outside in summer.

Popped in for Lunch.Had the Wor Wonton Soup.Great value for the price, took 1/2 home.Friendly Staff, Attentive and food came quickly.Beautiful view of Inlet.Bit Older Building, a little damp smelling, but then again, this is the wet coast. Otherwise 5 stars.

Ordered dinner for the family . Was worth every penny. The kids really enjoyed trying out some new stuff also.

Horrible service! Waitress was so rude to my 8 year old child because we asked for another pop can only because the one she handed was "popped " to were it couldn't be upright , We just paid for our beverages and left!

Szechuan beef or better still ask for off menu for truly authentic Chinese food. For 8 years + this 2 person venue serves the most vibrantly delicious vegetables, seafood is tender and YUM. In all this time we have not been disappointed.Pick up only. NO delivery unless you pay a cab or service to pickup for you.The preparation and service far outweigh anything else that may not be to your liking.Although the outside is ramped I would not consider this venue to be accessible to those requiring wheelchair access.

Very greasy and not good food. Too expensive and no online menu. But there is one that I found but they denied it. $100 for dinner for 4 I can go to qf and get the same for cheaper and better food. Don't really recommend this restaurant at all.

Szechuan beef, garlic gai lan, Singapore noodle... yum. It's essential for us to not have msg and we hope this is the case when requested. The food is delicious... not KFC Chinese food aka chicken balls for Caucasians... great menu selection for those avoiding the deep fried cornstarch sauce stereotype.

The food is tasty. It's usually pretty salty. Delivery times on weeknights can be over an hour. The excuse tonight was "it's almost done cooking, I'll send the driver to your house first".
